Fr. Pierre preached at all of the Masses at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church this past weekend. In this homily from the 5 PM Mass, Fr. Pierre reflects on the readings (EZ 17:22-24; PS 92:2-3, 13-14, 15-16; 2 COR 5:6-10; MK 4:26-34) of this day while telling the congregants, "For the kingdom of God to exist not just in the world, but in my life, I have to activate my power as the soil." We must embrace and nourish the seed of faith that God has planted in our lives.   HOMILY NOTES God is telling us through the parables in today's readings that in his heart there is a longing to do something great, something magnificent and majestic. Like creating a huge tree that can give shade and shelter to all kinds of little creatures. But he doesn't just want to do it all on his own. He has no need to do that for his own sake: he is complete and perfect in himself. And he already has a whole universe that constantly declares his glory, night and day. He wants to do something great in us. For our sake.
