Jesus said the kingdom of God is like a landowner. For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire labourers for his vineyard. (Matthew 20:1) A landowner who went out early in the morning That's what the kingdom of God is like. The kingdom of God is like the landowner who is searching. He was searching from early in the morning. But not just in the morning, he was searching all day. When he went out again about noon and about three o'clock, he did the same. And about five o'clock he went out and found others standing around; and he said to them, Why are you standing here idle all day? (Matthew 20:5, 6) That's what the kingdom of God is like.
