Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported Tuesday afternoon that the Minnesota Twins are in agreement with infielder Donovan Solano on a Major League contract. Solano, 35, spent last season with the Cincinnati Reds and has hit .301/.350/.421 over the last four seasons while playing mostly first, second, and third base. The move is curious considering the Twins already have Kyle Farmer on the roster, a very similar player but one who can adequately play shortstop.
