Welcome to Season 7 of Decorating Pages Podcast! Can't believe it's been two months since the last podcast. The episode is recaps the Design award season of the Emmys, ADG and SDSA awards. I talk about the coming season of the podcast and working since the WGA/SAG strike ended. Excited to have upcoming interviews to share and also continuing with the Design Film Study this year. This episode features Production Designer James Philpott, who is behind Hulu's newest murder mystery series, “Death And Other Details”, starring Mandy Patinkin. The show's main set is an enormous cruise ship in the Art Deco style. We talk about giving the cabins different looks with the different personalities of the characters, transforming the spaces to save stage space, shooting the actual basements of the stages as the bows of the ship, and using color as clues in the story.
