The Messiah’s Mission Pt. 5: To Give Me Life By Louie Marsh, 1-7-2024   1) Jesus Came to Give Me LIFE.   “24Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24, ESV)   ·       Two words for life in the New Testament   o   Bios -  βίος   - BIOLOGICAL life.   “17But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” (1 John 3:17, ESV)   o   Zoe -  ζωή - SPIRITUAL life.   ·       The Christian faith is LIVING like Jesus lived.   14  but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:14 (ESV)   ·       I only come alive spiritually when I put my faith IN JESUS.   51  I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
