She’s been on the air practically EVERY NIGHT in LA on Fox 11 News for more than 30 years, earning 16 Emmys and the respect and admiration from her peers, community leaders, and the public. Please welcome Christine Devine to our show today, and I’m honored to have her share HER story. And what a story it is! Christine grew up in Arizona and lived on a Navajo reservation where her mom was a teacher and dad was a principal. Earlier in her life, mom served in the Peace Corps, and that’s where this story begins, because Christine’s birth dad was from Brazil. Christine didn’t look like her mother, who was of German descent, and her dad, Jack Devine, adopted her was she was little. She grew up knowing she was adopted by her dad, but looking and feeling different, she wondered, “who am I?” Fast forward, and shortly before her mom passed away from cancer a few years ago, she opened the pages of social media and pointed, “that’s your father.” It’s been nearly seven years, and Christine found located him.
