What does it mean to have a Father "in heaven" and why is this SUCH good news? God the Father is more holy, glorious and transcendent that even the highest heavens cannot contain his majesty...at the very same time, He is closer than the very air that we breathe. When we look at the life of Jesus we are awakened to the reality of the nearness of the Father's presence throughout his whole ministry. The world Jesus inhabited was a God saturated reality that he invites us to experience and explore with him too. God is OUR FATHER and He is IN HEAVEN which means He sovereignly reigns over all the "powers" and is also INTIMATELY AVAILABLE to us in real time...ALL THE TIME!
