Jesus laid out the overview for His disciples as to what they could expect in following Him. The course would be filled with obstacles. Just as the gospel was going to be resisted, they, as the carriers of the Gospel would also be falsely  accused as He had been and some would even die. The key was to endure to the end. The Promise was that He would confess them before His Father in Heaven. We, as His disciples, are a part of the greatest thing on earth, and greater than anything the world has to offer, fame or riches, or the esteem of men.
