April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month Our Guest: Fawn Weber, Family Therapist at Epworth Children & Family Services April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the need for awareness is still prominent. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, more than four children die every day as a result of child abuse. Unfortunately, Epworth Children & Family Services has experienced children and youth as victims of child abuse and neglect in their programs. The agency strives to make their clients feel safe and strong to give them the tools to be successful. Fawn joins us to speak on the psychological damages associated with the child abuse. Child abuse is a problem in every community and Epworth hopes to shine light this month to provide more opportunities to bring the sensitive subject out of the dark.
