What up Art World! Are you an artist? Do you like art? Are you new and interested in learning about art without any judgement? Do you have a friend or significant other that likes art and you just need help getting into it? Well then this is the podcast for you! Sit down and listen to Miss Art World and her friend, Lisa as they navigate this world. They discuss popular trends, interview artist, critique local and national pieces and most importantly Miss Art World tries to teach Lisa a thing or two about the Art World! All the while drinking (sometimes too much) wine and having fun!

Women can do it all and Jaime is a prime example! Jaime Coffey Bateman graduated from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. Currently residing in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles, her artwork focuses on light studies as landscapes in foreign places. Her paintings began to evolve when she developed a passion for travel. Jaime has spent months traveling throughout Europe, Southeast Asia, South America and Madagascar, painting on sight and gathering subject matter for her future work. Karen Sarrow (b.1969) in Coventry, England, immigrated to the United States with her family at an early age. Living in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons, the artist has been widely exhibited in the USA and abroad. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Truman State University in Missouri (1991), and a Master of Arts degree from Ohio State University, where she studied Medieval, Contemporary, and African American art history (1994). Sarrow earned the terminal degree of a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Pratt Institute’s graduate program in New York (2003). While her activism, her canvases, and her mixed media work remain primary occupations, she complements these endeavors with curating exhibitions of contemporary art. Along with her husband, Jonathan, Karen Sarrow founded artHYPE (artHYPE.net) and is now its director. Her mission is to support and exhibit emerging artists who make meaningful

Today, his 18-year project “Scarred for Life: Mono-prints of Human Scars” chronicles the trauma and courage of people who have lived through accidents and health crises.
