Synopsis

Dear Nana is a weekly podcast that asks: What's the best advice you've ever been given? With guests ranging from mostly comedians to whomever Irene, more affectionately known as "Nana," can trick into coming on the show, we learn a new life nugget each week. Listeners who are seeking advice are encouraged to write in each week with the hopes that Nana and her guest can give them the advice they need.

  • Solo Nana

    21/10/2019 Duration: 31min

Solo Nana Ep! I've been wanting to do an episode like this since the beginning but I've been too scared and putting it off and even though I had a panic attack while recording (and I'm still coming down from it as I'm typing this) I'm happy I took that first small step toward maybe more episodes like this.  This episode was definitely a rough one but I learned a lot and if you all want another one like this, let me know and I'll work on making the next one better! The article that I read was from the Harvard Business Review Magazine: OnPoint, Spring 2019 edition. The focus of this edition was "Unleash Your Creativity" and the article I annotated and read from was "Reclaim Your Creative Confidence: How To Get Over The Fears That Block Your Best Ideas" by Tom Kelley and David Kelley. Thank you for being so sweet and patient and honest with me!

Nana wasn't feeling well at all this past Sunday (when I usually record and upload episodes for Monday morning consumption) and with an average of 4 hours of sleep every night since then it's been hectic to say the least - now this is just turning into a journal entry.  While I was going to record with just myself tonight, Nathan hit me up on my way home and when he agreed to do the podcast we recorded on a little one-way street in the West Village, Barrow Street to be exact. This was about to be the episode that I go solo! Maybe the next one, with an outlined article or book to keep me company.    Nathan Macintosh Social:  Instagram/Twitter: @nathanmacintosh www.nathanmacintosh.com   Email:  DearNanaPod@gmail.com
