Moraine Valley Community College Library, Palos Hills, Illinois, USA. The Library Event PodCasts are intended to be a flexible, portable record of the events held within the Moraine Valley Library. As such, they are intended to enhance library programs and the larger Moraine Valley curriculum.These events are hosted by the library in the spirit of public discussion, open debate, and intellectual growth. Is he a pop-culture icon, historic figure, inspirational leader, or racial agitator? Jones will contrast the Malcolm X presented in Alex Haley's The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Spike Lee's Malcolm X, and the historic record, to come to an understanding on the importance of this leader.

Perceptions of Mental Illness in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month

The Iraq War Four Years Later: A Panel Discussion Reconvened
06/03/2007Four years ago, on March 19, 2003, the Moraine Valley Library held a panel discussion about the just war theory. Through eerie coincidence, this event fell on the very day that the US started bombing Iraq. Now, four years later, this panel of experts reconvenes to talk about the last four years and the future. As in the book, 1984, war has become an ongoing part of life.
