Winnipeg Stand up! In this episode we got Winnipeg's very own Alexa Joy Potashnik representing for the Black folks in the Prairies of Manitoba. Alexa is the founder of Black Space Winnipeg, host of Raw Colours, Vocal percussionist, and former Racialized Student commissioner for the Canadian Federation of Students. Alexa Joy Potashnik works to create safe spaces for people of colour and challenge white male privilege, dominance, and supremacy through grassroots activism. In this episode Alexa highlights some of her work in BlackSpaceWinnipeg(WPG) and we breakdown her TedTalk which dissected the need for creating safer spaces in post-secondary institutions for Black students.
